TRAFFICK FREE POMONA SPONSORS JUBILEE ROOM AT RACHEL’S HOUSE

 In News

The numbers of prostituted persons is staggering. The number of beds available to house these victims is far below what is necessary to provide the healing and restoration that these beautiful people need. Below is an excerpt from Forgotten Children,(www.forgottenchildreninc.org), that defines our response to the masses who are crying out for help.
Rachel’s House will be a ministry of love and compassion for the children and women who are victimized through Human Trafficking, prostitution and abuse.

Rachel’s house will offer housing until the girl is ready to return to society as an emotional stable and productive individual. The facility provides the resident a four-step program that teaches them necessary life skills. This collaborative approach to empowerment is the keystone to developing self-sufficiency in the residents. The steps include personal development, vocational training, substance abuse counseling, interpersonal skills building, community involvement, leisure activities, independent living skills, and spiritual growth.

Traffick Free Pomona is honored to sponsor a room at Rachel’s House. We have asked that this room be designated the Jubilee Room. The concept of the Jubilee is a special year of remission of sins and universal pardon. In the Biblical Book of Leviticus, a Jubilee year is mentioned to occur every fifty years, in which slaves and prisoners would be freed, debts would be forgiven and the mercies of God would be particularly manifest.

We feel that the concept of Jubilee defines our purpose-to set the captives free. We are blessed to share some pictures of  our room, that will soon become the home for a survivor of exploitation.
