Alumni Services

No one “graduates” from needing support.

Graduation means becoming part of a lifelong community.

The goal of our alumni services and opportunities is to foster a supportive community where alumni can contribute their experiences, skills, and wisdom to support current clients while accessing continued opportunities for personal and professional development.

Peer
Empowerment

Survivors supporting survivors creates powerful connections and understanding.

Continued
Growth

Healing and development are lifelong journeys deserving ongoing support.

Reciprocal
Healing

Both giving and receiving support contribute to recovery and resilience.

Flexible
Participation

Alumni engage at their own pace and comfort level.

Alumni of our Pathways To Freedom Program are eligible for long-term aftercare. We guarantee that alumni have lifetime access to case management and support groups to help them continue their healing and growth. Alumni may also choose to stay connected and step into leadership roles that support and encourage other survivors.

Long-Term Aftercare

Continued Mentoring

Pathways To Freedom program graduates can continue to receive the same emotional support, mentoring, and guidance that they received from our staff members during enrollment. These formal relationships are designed to support survivors as they continue working toward their goals.

Extended Case Management

After completing the program, alumni can continue working with our case managers, who help connect them to personalized resources including housing, healthcare, legal aid, job training programs, mental health services, and more.

Annual Wellness Check-Ins

These scheduled meetings with case managers focus on assessing shifts in needs and goals to empower sustained change.

Support Groups: Sisters Supporting Sisters

Every ONE Free offers peer-led weekly support groups. These closed groups are for current participants and alumni. They provide a safe space to connect with fellow survivors, offer mutual encouragement and accountability, discuss current life stressors, and celebrate successes. Support groups offer a sense of community, and participants identify as a Survivor Sisterhood.

Participants are first invited to a support group after completing the first half of the Pathways to Freedom program, and are welcome to continue participating after graduation “for life.”

Urgent Assistance

When needed, alumni can reach out for additional support from Every ONE Free team members when they are facing urgent challenges. Our staff provide guidance, resources, and assistance during business hours or by scheduled appointment to help alumni navigate difficult situations safely and confidently.

Survivor Leadership & Mentorship

We offer several pathways for survivors to lead and thrive through leadership development, professional growth, and community connection at Every ONE Free. We invest in survivors’ long-term economic independence while also offering opportunities for graduates to support and walk alongside current participants.

Survivor Workshop Series

Our quarterly alumni workshops provide a safe, supportive space where survivors come together to build practical life skills, strengthen their mental and emotional well-being, and grow professionally. From financial planning and career development to creative healing, leadership, and advocacy, each workshop offers real tools and empowering conversations led by people who understand the journey.

Alumni receive a private invitation to these gatherings, which offer mentorship, peer support, and a judgment-free community where their stories matter and their futures are supported.

The Susan Rushing Scholarship

Completing our Pathways To Freedom program is just the beginning. We don’t just help survivors graduate—we invest in their potential.

Named after one of our founding board members for her dedication to our mission, the Susan Rushing Scholarship is designed to support career-focused education and skill-building. This includes earning a GED, obtaining a trade certification, or pursuing an undergraduate degree. During the event we celebrate alumni achievements and milestones, share program updates and impact stories, recognize outstanding alumni contributions, and provide networking opportunities. This event is held both in-person and virtually to accommodate as many former and current Pathways To Freedom participants as possible.

Volunteer Opportunities

Alumni can take on flexible volunteer roles that build professional experience or allow for peer mentorship and program support.
